Paytm Says Wallet 'Up And Running' After Some Users Face 'Technical Issue'

Paytm had earlier said it was aware of the "technical issue" persisting in the app in response to a user complaint.

Payments platform Paytm said the wallet feature in its mobile application is "up and running", after some users complained of a service outage on Wednesday.

"Paytm Wallet is up and running! A few users faced some issues for a short time, the same was quickly resolved and you can continue to use Paytm Wallet for all payments!" the company said on the social media platform X, formerly Twitter.

Paytm had earlier said it was aware of the "technical issue" persisting in the app in response to a user complaint.

A PR representative told BQ Prime that the company responds to issues raised by its users on social media frequently and takes timely action to solve them.

According to outage tracking platform Downdetector, reported issues with Paytm spiked around 7:30 p.m. and then declined in an hour. Downdetector only reports an incident when the number of problem reports is significantly higher than the typical volume for that time of day.

Paytm offers a digital wallet that lets consumers pay for various services as well as transactions through the Unified Payments Interface.
